Tashkent (Uzbekistan), January 28:
Bangladesh Ambassador to Uzbekistan Md Zahangir Alam had a meeting with Chairman of
the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CC&I) of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ilkhamovich
Ikramov at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tashkent today.
During the meeting, both sides focused on the cooperation and exchange of experience in the
fields of the textiles, pharmaceutical, textile industries, information technology and agriculture.
Bangladesh Ambassador requested the Chairman to provide a list of members for Council
between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan to promote trade and investment, export-import and
entrepreneurship in all possible sectors and join the upcoming visit of Uzbekistan Delegation to
Dhaka in April 2022 with Uzbekistan reputed industrialists and organize Business Forum, B2B and
G2B meetings.
Chairman noted that in order to strengthen business cooperation and develop economic
relations in general, interaction between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two
countries is necessary which are the main platform for business interaction.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the planned joint events and the
need to intensify mutual visits of business circles of the two countries.
